Spring Flowers Amongst Wooden Discs | DIY

A parallel floral creation with a rich mix of spring flowers in different colours. We love this arrangement and we’re happy to tell you how to make it yourself. Let’s get started!

A floral design by Fleur Créatif designer Moniek Vanden Berghe for Fleur Créatif Magazine – Spring issue 2022.
This issue is still available in our Fleur Bookshop. Order yours here for only €7,50.

What you need:

Botanicals:

  • Ranunculus, buttercup
  • Tanacetum parthenium, feverfew
  • Tulipa, tulip
  • Ranunculus, buttercup

Non-botanicals:

  • Wooden discs
  • Wooden skewer
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Water-soluble paint
  • OASIS
  • ® BIO cake
  • Water-resistant floral foam
  • Large rust coloured bowl

How you make it:

Follow the step-by-step instructions and make this floral design yourself.

1. Secure the wooden discs on the skewers. Make sure they do not touch the floral foam (so that they cannot suck up any water). Use bio foam, this way it’s not necessary to cover it, because it matches the colour perfectly!

2. Have a look at the colours of your flowers and paint strips of similar colours vertically along the lines of the corrugated cardboard.

3. Now arrange all the flowers parallel between the wooden discs.

Have fun! ❤️
